Overview: We are seeking skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Container Drivers to join our team. This is a vital role in our organization, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest level of professionalism and Compliance. Responsibilities: – Safely operate a commercial vehicle, Transporting Containers from Port to Addressess in the UK – Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations – Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and inform on site fitters of any issues. – Communicate effectively with planners, customers, and team members – Complete necessary paperwork, such as POD’s and daily inspection reports Qualifications: – Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record – Proven experience as a HGV Class 1 Driver – Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations – Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines – Ability to work independently with minimal supervision – Valid and up to date Driver CPC and Tacho Cards – Preferably have a Southampton Port ID card already but can put the driver through if required Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
