Residential Support Worker (Female)

North Aston, Oxfordshire

Salary

£14.45 – £15.15 per hour plus approximately £3,000 to £6,000 in sleep‑in allowance per year (£62.64 per sleep‑in, working approx. 6‑8 sleep‑ins per month) from April 1st 2026.

Working Hours

39 hours per week.

Shift pattern: 7 on 7 off; alternate pattern: Week 1 – 5 long days (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun); Week 2 – Wed, Thu and 2 sleeps across the two weeks.

Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic care and support to children and young people with complex needs, emotional and behavioural difficulties, or challenging behaviour.
  • Act as a positive role model meeting their everyday living needs.
  • Support children in a homely environment to meet individual needs and overcome challenges to prepare them for life.
  • Build friendships, trust, and relationships.
  • Encourage children to find pleasure in everyday tasks and empower them to make decisions about themselves.
  • Participate in fun days out such as theme parks, fishing, football and hiking.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Natural caring, flexible, and resilient; strong communication skills.
  • Energetic and positive attitude.
  • Experience and previous qualifications not required but welcomed.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including shifts and sleep‑ins with full‑time and part‑time hours available.
