Role overview

The role of the Paralegal is to provide support services, using case management systems and digital platforms, working in a supportive role to the fee earners.

Principal duties and responsibilities

  1. Deliver practical services of outstanding quality that are focused on the Client’s needs and quick turnaround of work.
  2. Assist with the provision of legal services and to provide assistance to fee-earners.
  3. Liaise with fee-earner as to required tasks, deal with queries, agree action etc. Follow up matters and action points arising from meetings. Prepare files for matter progression.
  4. Liaise with third parties regarding outstanding items, chase documentation.
  5. Day to day responsibility for Portal claims / cases, from submission to conclusion.
  6. Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by fee-earner.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Good understanding of England & Wales law and associated procedures
  • MS Office applications

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organised and methodical
  • Takes the initiative and has good judgment in terms of own resource management and also involving others
  • Team player, with willingness to help others and who shares information and knowledge to help deliver a joint outcome
  • Highly organised with the ability to work to deadlines and to prioritise conflicting objectives
  • Able to deal appropriately with confidential information

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £20,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
