Teaching Assistant – Wimbledon

SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Wimbledon, Merton)

Contract: Full-time, Monday 18th May 2026 to July 2026 (ongoing).

Location: Wimbledon, Merton, South West London.

Are you passionate about making a real difference to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Tradewind Recruitment supports one of their partnership primary schools in Wimbledon to find a calm but engaging 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a KS1 pupil with severe ADHD.

The Role

• Provide 1:1 tailored support for assigned pupil in KS1
• Support SEND, including ADHD and emotional dysregulation
• Remain calm and composed to promote learning
• Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP target and support plan
• Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs of the child
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Calm, patient, enthusiastic (interest in sports desired)
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion
• Confident supporting ADHD
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
• Available Monday to Friday
