Teaching Assistant for KS1 (1:1) – Level 3

Do you have experience supporting children with SEN on a 1:1 basis?

Are you a caring and patient Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children in KS1?

Do you have a Level 3 qualification and a proactive approach to learning support?

We’re looking for a caring and patient Teaching Assistant who can provide 1:1 support to a child with SEN in Key Stage 1. The role is full‑time and involves working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to give tailored support, encourage engagement and create a positive learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a child within KS1.
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher and SENCO to plan and deliver individual interventions.
• Support pupil engagement and positive learning outcomes.
• Assist the classroom teacher in managing behaviour and inclusion.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working in a primary school setting.
• Experience supporting children with SEN on a 1:1 basis.
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
