Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a full-time Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant to work within our SEN unit, supporting young children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
About the Role
- Support students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Manage and respond to challenging behaviour effectively.
- Assist with learning across individual, small group and whole class settings.
- Monitor and support pupils with SEMH and additional special educational needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour using consistent reinforcement strategies.
- Provide academic, social and emotional support to pupils.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant.
- A holistic approach to supporting children’s development.
- Calm, empathetic and able to set clear boundaries.
- Reliable, trustworthy and committed.
- Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
