Learning Support Assistant – Part Time – Ware – £16.00 per hour
We are recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to work at Hertford Regional College to help deliver an outstanding learner experience and be inspirational to students at HRC’s state‑of‑the‑art facilities in Ware.
About the role
We are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic about enabling learners with identified learning differences to access the college environment, to include academic support, pastoral support and communication for learners to realise their potential.
We have a position available employed as a temporary agency worker via HRG, supporting Learners across campus in various departments.
- Working days: 9 am to 4:30 pm, one‑hour lunch break (term time only)
- Schedule: 3 days per week
- Rate: £16.00 per hour, including holiday pay
- Contract: Starting September 2026, term time only on an ongoing temporary contract basis
About you
- Experience of working in learning support with SEN learners, ideally within the FE sector
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm for promoting independence for young people
- Commitment to the well‑being of all learners
- Passion for constantly improving their learning experience
HRG Compliance Process
- In‑person ID and proof of address verification appointment at Ware/Broxbourne Campus
- Enhanced DBS application – administered by HRG at a cost of £65.20 (unless you already hold an enhanced DBS on the update service)
- Two years of professional/character references taken and verified
- Several online training modules sent out to you as stipulated by HRC
