Position Overview
Senior Support Worker — Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Full‑time, up to £13.45 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent, respectful and individualised support to all service users.
- Develop sincere and trusting relationships with service users, encouraging expression of needs, views, and concerns.
- Support management and coordination of service delivery, effectively meeting the needs of service users.
- Provide mentorship, support and guidance for the staff team; including deploying staff and managing rotas.
- Work flexibly according to the needs of the service, including daytimes, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Participate in on‑call rota.
Qualifications & Experience
At least one year of experience providing care and support for adults with a learning disability, physical needs and support needs, and older people is essential. Candidates should be compassionate, motivated, diligent and able to empathise with individuals. Good verbal and written communication skills, organisational ability, and a willingness to work on a rota, including early, late and weekend duties, are required.
