Responsibilities
As a Residential Support Worker you will work with young people aged 5‑18 who have experienced severe trauma related to exploitation, neglect, domestic violence and abuse. Your role involves:
- Providing therapeutic support to enable younger clients to understand and process their trauma.
- Delivering care in overnight shifts, long hours and alternate weekends, ensuring safe handovers and bed‑time routines.
- Working within the residential community to maintain a positive environment and build trust with the young people.
- Maintaining accurate record keeping and complying with all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Full commitment and dedication to the well‑being of vulnerable children.
- Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, overnight shifts and to stay beyond scheduled hours if required.
- Evidence of self‑reflection and the ability to compartmentalise personal struggles.
- Experience working with young people is beneficial.
