Assistant Maintenance Manager – RIU Plaza London The Westminster.

About the Role

In this role, you will assist the Chief Engineer to oversee all installation, repair, and upkeep operations at our hotel premises, ensuring the building and facilities remain safe, functional, and appealing to guests.

What You’ll Do

• Plan and carry out short, medium and long‑term maintenance programmes with the Chief Engineer.
• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate their daily duties.
• Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and resolve issues.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with hotel management and the Chief Engineer to set maintenance goals.
• Handle emergency problems such as plumbing, electrical, or HVAC malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
• Ensure safety standards and procedures are followed to reduce risks and accidents.
• Oversee renovation and repair projects from start to completion.
• Manage the maintenance budget in partnership with the Chief Engineer.
• Perform administrative tasks such as reporting, inventory control, and scheduling.
• Train maintenance team members and keep them up to date with the latest techniques and procedures.

• Ability to collaborate with other departments such as housekeeping, reception and F&B to ensure smooth service.
• Excellent communication skills for both internal staff and guest interactions.
• Team player.
• Ability to work under pressure.
