Our client, a leading specialist provider in the education sector, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisors to join a vibrant secondary school in Caerphilly. As a Cover Supervisor in Caerphilly, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning and well-being across various year groups, including Years 7, 8, and 9, as well as GCSE classes.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage classroom activities for secondary school pupils in Caerphilly.
- Support pupils’ educational and behavioural needs in a variety of subjects.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with the implementation of lesson plans and activities.
- Promote pupils’ well-being and ensure their safety during lessons.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams.
Requirements
- Experience (paid or voluntary) working with children or in the care sector.
- A keen interest in working with children and young people.
- Open to training and professional development.
- Proactive work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Good understanding of special educational needs (SEN).
- Ability to provide support to pupils with diverse needs.
- Patience, understanding, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
