We’re looking for a passionate Assessment Recovery Worker to join an integrated healthcare team in Sittingbourne on a full:time basis (35 hours per week), working with adults affected by drug and alcohol use.

This is a frontline, person-centred role where no two days are the same; you’ll be helping people move forward with their lives through structured support, practical guidance, and meaningful recovery planning.

What you’ll be doing

  • Carrying out assessments, risk management plans, and SMART care plans
  • Delivering 1:1 interventions and group work programmes
  • Using motivational interviewing techniques to support change and engagement
  • Providing harm reduction advice alongside abstinence-based recovery pathways
  • Managing a busy caseload, prioritising needs and tracking progress
  • Working closely with partners across housing, probation, healthcare, employment, and community services
  • Supporting clients through a joined-up, holistic recovery journey

You’ll also play a key role in service outcomes, safeguarding, audits, and data recording, helping ensure high:quality, evidence-based support is consistently delivered.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in substance misuse services
  • Confidence in assessment, care planning, and structured interventions
  • Skilled in group facilitation and 1:1 key work
  • Strong understanding of recovery, safeguarding, and harm reduction
  • Good IT skills and ability to manage records accurately
  • A collaborative, motivated approach to multi-agency working
