We’re Hiring: Business Development Manager
Remote (with regular travel across Scotland & North of England + weekly lab visits)
We’re looking for a motivated and commercially driven Business Development Manager to help grow our materials testing services across the infrastructure and construction sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on winning new business while developing strong, long-term customer relationships.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing and growing a portfolio of key accounts (£10k–£200k spend)
- Proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities
- Preparing and following up on quotes, leading negotiations to close deals
- Collaborating with technical and operational teams to deliver solutions
- Managing your sales pipeline to consistently hit and exceed targets
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in business development or B2B sales
- Background in infrastructure, construction, or materials testing (preferred)
- Proactive, target-driven, and resilient mindset
- Strong communication skills and ability to build lasting relationships
Competitive base salary + quarterly bonus (up to 30%) + uncapped commission
