Product Development Technician Location: Worthing Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £28,000

Hunters’ client is seeking a Product Development Technician to support the creation and improvement of production processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient, reliable manufacturing and smooth new product introduction (NPI), working closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams. 

Product Development Technician – The Role

• Support new product introduction (NPI), including work instructions and design reviews
• Assist in developing and improving production processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to optimise workflows
• Support the design and manufacture of jigs, fixtures, and tooling
• Conduct audits and monitor process performance to improve quality and consistency

Product Development Technician – The Fit

• Experience in mechanical assembly, wiring, cable harnessing, or similar manufacturing environments
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Hands-on, practical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Knowledge of cable termination or wiring standards (e.g. IPC620) advantageous
