Pro4orm People Ltd have partnered with a leading pharmaceutical company in search of a Marketing Director. We are looking to speak to experienced Marketing Directors who can lead the strategic direction and execution of marketing for our client. The role requires a leader who combines strategic thinking with practical execution.

This is a hybrid role with regular attendance in the Berkshire Head Office (typically 2/3 days per week) and travel across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a leading role within our clients UK leadership team, contributing to the development of the company’s strategy and long-term growth plans.
  • Shape the overall commercial strategy through deep customer and market insight, ensuring marketing strategy is aligned with our clients priorities.
  • Lead the development of integrated brand and portfolio strategies across our clients therapeutic areas.
  • Ensure the business develops a deep and continually evolving understanding of: NHS system dynamics, clinical pathways, patient needs, healthcare system pressures.
  • Establish clear standards for marketing excellence across the organisation. Ensure marketing activity consistently demonstrates: strategic clarity, high quality execution, clear impact on customer behaviour and patient care.
  • Contribute to the development of the company’s annual business plan and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure marketing investments are aligned with strategic priorities and deliver strong return on investment.
  • Ensure all marketing activities are conducted in full compliance with: ABPI Code of Practice, our clients’ policies and procedures, relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the compliance and medical teams to ensure high standards of governance and ethical practice.

Requirements:

  • Pharmaceutical marketing leadership experience, ideally within specialty or hospital medicines.
  • Experience leading and developing teams and contributing effectively within a senior leadership environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with a practical ability to translate strategy into execution.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate insight into clear strategic direction.
  • Highly collaborative leadership style with the ability to work effectively across complex cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with credibility at senior levels.
  • Good understanding of the UK healthcare system and pharmaceutical regulatory environment.
