Production Manager – Fresh Food Manufacturing
Location: Basildon
Shift pattern: 10:30am – 6:30pm, Monday – Friday
Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE
A growing fresh food manufacturer is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead operations in a fast‑paced environment focused on delivering nutritious, high‑quality food for children.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands‑on leader with a continuous improvement mindset who enjoys developing teams, improving processes, and driving operational excellence.
The Role:
- Lead and manage daily production operations
- Ensure food safety, quality, and compliance standards are maintained
- Drive operational KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage and develop production teams and shift leaders
- Align production capacity with customer demand and ingredient supply
- Promote a strong health & safety culture
About you:
- 5+ years’ management experience in FMCG food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety systems, and BRC standards
- Proven ability to lead teams and improve operational performance
- Strong problem‑solving and organisational skills
- Experience with Excel and ERP/planning systems
- HACCP / Food Safety certification
