Finance Business Partner – Stock & Imports

Permanent • £60,000‑£70,000 + Pension + PMI + ShareSave + 6.6 weeks holiday + Hybrid Working (2‑3 days per week in the office)

Overview

Partnering with business stakeholders to provide insight and actions to manage stock effectively to deliver profitable sales growth and optimise working capital investment, as well as budget and forecast movements in stock, stock provisions and import costs.

What’s the job?

  • Produce regular forecasts and an annual budget for stock, commercial stock loss provisions and import costs.
  • Provide actionable insight on stock and commercial stock loss provisions.
  • Support the Supply Chain & Commercial teams to define and deliver plans to achieve effective stock performance through building trusted relationships, improving performance reporting processes and building Supply Chain and Commercial capability.
  • Model and track clearance events with the Commercial teams to ensure clean stock and manage the trade off between clean stock and margin.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to enhance business planning processes to deliver integrated and actionable demand, purchases, stock and operational volume forecasts.
  • Provide insight to the Commercial teams on exchange rate and freight cost movements impact on product cost prices so they can manage product margins and retail prices.

What We Need

  • Proven experience of budgeting and forecasting as well as financial modelling and analysis.
  • Knowledge of Commercial, Supply Chain, Logistics and Retail processes that impact on stock.
  • Demonstrate impact & influence with senior stakeholders to define priorities and facilitate key decisions.
  • High level of self‑initiative and drive and enjoys working in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
  • Positive approach to problem solving and developing cross‑functional working relationships.
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication to non‑finance stakeholders.
  • Able to turn large volumes of data into actionable insight and leverage changes in data analysis tools and technology to deliver improved automation and quality of insight.
  • Drives continuous improvement in processes, performance and self.

Essential Professional Qualifications: Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
