Skills & Qualifications — Essential Ingredients

  • Experience: Well‑seasoned finance business partner in a complex organisation, ideally in a Finance, Retail, or FMCG kitchen, and preferably within an omni‑channel commercial. Able to operate confidently across a busy “kitchen” of multi‑regional teams. Ability to working at high heat – influencing senior leaders, steering commercial strategy, and supporting teams through both steady simmering and rapid boil moments.
  • Education: A recognised finance qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Tools of the Trade: Highly proficient in the essential utensils of modern finance: advanced Excel, Power BI, and strong modelling techniques. You know how to turn raw data into a perfectly blended mix of insight and clarity, ready to serve to stakeholders at every level.
  • Special Sauces: Secret ingredients include enthusiasm, resilience and integrity – combined with empathy, curiosity and a genuine passion for continuous improvement. You add flavour wherever you go, bringing warmth, energy and a natural ability to build trust across the business.

Other Requirements

Sometimes, you’ll need to take your culinary skills on the road. This role may involve a tasting tour across the UK and occasionally abroad, with overnight stays on the menu. To keep the journey smooth, a full, clean UK driving licence is one of the essential ingredients.
