Media Sales Manager

Essex – Office based

£45,000 base salary + £70,000 OTE

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and driven Media Sales Manager to lead a team of sales executives in generating new business opportunities and closing high-value advertising deals. This is a key leadership role where you will shape sales strategy, mentor the team, and play a hands-on role in driving revenue growth.

You will be responsible for overseeing outreach activity, supporting the team with major deals, and ensuring consistent reporting to senior leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced media environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership

  • Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of sales executives
  • Drive outreach activity to new leads and ensure alignment with sales targets
  • Foster a positive, high-performance sales culture

Deal Facilitation

  • Support and guide the team through major deals and negotiations
  • Act as the senior point of contact for key opportunities

Sales Strategy

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase lead generation and conversion rates
  • Identify new revenue opportunities and market segments

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Compile and present regular sales reports to senior management
  • Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement

Training & Development

  • Ensure the sales team is fully trained on media products and effective selling techniques
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development to improve performance

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and campaign delivery

Process Improvement

  • Gather feedback from the sales team to refine processes and improve results

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Media Sales Manager or in a similar sales leadership role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Solid understanding of sales pipelines, CRM systems, and performance metrics
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of modern media sales strategies and market trends
