What you’ll be doing
- Provides commercial input to Value Engineering reviews for different forms of construction
- Manage the preparation of Target Cost for Project Planning
- Coordinate with Commercial teams to ensure programme issues are identified
- Manage the preparation and review of Earned Value Management
- Manages Commercial aspects with customers and stakeholders
- Establish supply chain requirements and advise on alternative forms of contract and procurement arrangements
- Formulation of management plans for resource procurement
- Preparation of Estimates & Tender submissions including interpretation of specifications & preambles
Who we’re looking for
As a Commercial Manager, you will have experience working on large‑scale engineering construction projects such as power generation, water treatment, energy infrastructure, or nuclear decommissioning.
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent training and suitable experience
- Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB
- Understands how economic factors affect the construction industry
- Strong experience in strategic change management
- Business and Customer Awareness
- Effectively manages opportunities and threats
