Senior Commercial Manager
Level: Executive to Associate Director
Location: Boden, Sweden (relocation to Boden or Luleå required)
Gleeds Energy is continuing its international growth and expanding our presence across the Nordic region. As part of a major new programme in northern Sweden, we are supporting the delivery of one of Europe’s most significant low carbon industrial developments, a multi‑billion‑euro initiative central to Europe’s transition to green manufacturing.
To support this major programme, we are building a high performing commercial team in Sweden and are seeking experienced Commercial & Cost Management professionals to take a leading role in providing governance, assurance, and strategic commercial leadership across several high‑value capital workstreams.
This role would be full time based in either Boden or Lulea, Gleeds will cover all reasonable relocation expenses to ensure a smooth, fully supported move to Sweden.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Assurance – Develop, validate, and challenge cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts
- Governance – Implement strong cost control frameworks and ensure alignment with project baselines
- Commercial Management – Lead or contribute to contract administration, procurement activities, and commercial negotiations
- Stakeholder Interface – Engage with senior client representatives, funders, and project partners
Experience, Knowledge & Skills required
- Strong background in commercial and cost leadership on major industrial or infrastructure projects
- Experience working on large programmes or complex capital environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement, contract negotiation, and governance experience
- Ability to relocate to Sweden (single or family relocation packages available)
