Software Engineer

What you will be doing

• Designing and developing new software across a Microsoft focused environment
• Maintaining and enhancing existing systems that play a key role in operational data and communication processes
• Working across C#, VB NET, VB6, Dot NET including Core, WinForms, ASP NET and SQL Server
• Using Azure DevOps for source control, change management and release activities
• Investigating and resolving issues raised by internal teams and customers
• Contributing to software documentation including design plans and user guides
• Supporting verification, testing and the release of updates
• Exploring new tools, techniques and technologies to support future product development

What you will bring

• Experience with C#, VB NET or VB6
• A background in building front end and back end applications within a Dot NET environment
• Good knowledge of SQL Server including database design and writing effective queries
• Attention to detail and a steady, methodical approach to problem solving
• Clear communication and the ability to work collaboratively within a small, focused team

Nice to have but not essential

• Experience with XML, JSON, XSLT or XPath
• Familiarity with Regular Expressions
• Exposure to installer creation tools such as Advanced Installer
