The Business Assurance Group within Highways, Transport and Planning directorate, are currently recruiting to this important role within their team.
In this role, you will analyse data to understand processes and inefficiencies and then work to develop sustainable and suitable solutions. We are looking for someone that can work with service managers and partners to gain an understanding of how we deliver our services and find ways to do this more effectively.
You will need to be able to build relationships quickly and have an excellent eye for detail. You will also need to have excellent communication skills to build credibility with the various stakeholders. About you
Some of the key skills, experience and knowledge required to be successful in the role include:
- Excellent analytical skills to enable you to research and analyse data from various sources and produce qualitative information. Demonstratable experience of this is also important.
- Experience of collating and interpreting complex information and evidence of organising and handling this to produce reports and inform business decisions.
- Strong IT skills to enable you to manipulate complex data and produce the relevant findings in the right software. Experience of Power BI, Microsoft Office and SharePoint is essential.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to enable production of clear and concise information to a range of stakeholders, which promotes understanding. Experience of doing this and building credibility is also important.
- Advisory, negotiation and persuasion skills to encourage others to take a particular course of action, based on the data you have provided.
- Developed problem-solving skills so that you can analyse complex information and draw logical and rational conclusions from the data available.
- Organisation skills to prioritise and plan workload to ensure targets and deadlines are met.
