Drive growth in the professional AV market as a Business Development Manager, developing new rental and sales opportunities while strengthening long‑term customer relationships. In this commercial role, you will connect clients with tailored audio, lighting, video and rigging solutions while helping expand AED’s presence across the industry.

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about the AV industry to join our friendly team to expand our B2B rental and sales of lighting, video, sound and rigging products. Our customers include rental companies, installers, AV resellers and professional users.

This is a customer-facing role dedicated to securing new rental and sales of AV equipment whilst strengthening existing relationships.

Using our rental and sales catalogue you will enable customers to access large quantities of audio visual equipment and associated hardware for both long and short-term rentals.

Your role

With an in-depth knowledge of AV equipment and associated accessories you will seek fresh opportunities for new business converting these into confirmed rentals and sales utilising equipment contained in our rental catalogue.

  • Proactively identify, research, target and introduce customers to our rental catalogue and brands.
  • Arrange calls, meetings and demonstrations to identify customer requirements and generate opportunities.
  • Use existing knowledge to offer viable alternative products to secure rental and sales confirmations.
  • Keep customers engaged with the latest updates, including new sales stock and sales activities.
  • Maintain clear communication with the Commercial Manager.
  • Identify new commercial opportunities for AED business tools including sales, lease and second-hand solutions.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the AV market, industry trends and factors that support market share growth.

Your profile

  • Experience working within the AV environment.
  • Existing contacts and relationships within the AV community.
  • Knowledge of the latest audio–visual equipment and industry trends.
  • Motivated self-starter, comfortable working independently and delivering results.
  • Strong administration skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of a customer organisation.
