Role Overview
The Trainee Sales Executive – Modernisation Solutions works with prospective new KONE customers (LIO) and proactively targets elevator modernisation opportunities outside KONE’s current service portfolio (LIS). You will focus on generating orders for elevator modernisation and KONE’s digital solutions. The role is based in Bristol and requires four days in the office and one day working from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively develop and create customer relationships in your area of responsibility.
- Accountable for developing KONE’s position within your customer base or market area.
- Create and communicate leads and sales opportunities for the entire KONE sales team (e.g., cross‑selling).
- Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve complaints in collaboration with the KONE team.
- Document customer and contact information and maintain customer data within the CRM system (Salesforce).
- Generate KONE upgrade modernisation opportunities from outside the current customer base (existing service portfolio).
- Handle RFQs and manage leads, opportunities, orders and contracts to meet sales budget and pricing targets.
- Demonstrate a solution‑selling mindset and sales strategy, ensuring customer needs are matched with KONE’s value proposition.
- Price using approved tendering tools and optimize prices and discounts within your authority limits.
- Validate contract contents against KONE’s contract absolutes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed CRM records of opportunities, tasks and visits (sales funnel management).
- Provide timely and accurate reporting in CRM.
- Gather relevant market and competitor data and feed findings back to the business.
- Drive execution of your individual sales plan.

Skills & Experiences
- Minimum of two years’ sales experience in a similar industry or role.
- Experience in proactively managing customer service solutions.
- Experience and understanding of value‑selling strategies.
- Good communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Good understanding of digital skills and mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in an associated field preferred (LIO, LIS).
