SP247082 – Healthcare Support Worker – Vaccinators

Job Overview

We are looking to recruit Band 3 Vaccinator roles across the Aberdeen City vaccination program for a fixed‑term period until the end of December 2026. These roles will be based in vaccination centres, outlying city community clinics and schools, and successful individuals may also be required to assist in other areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer vaccines safely and effectively in accordance with national policies.
• Assist with clinic duties and other areas of the vaccination programme as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Completed relevant phlebotomy competencies.
• Will complete the Associate Vaccinator competencies within the first month of employment.
• Demonstrate a high standard of care and adherence to safety and effectiveness protocols.
• Strong time‑management skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Open, friendly demeanor with excellent communication skills to interact with a diverse range of people.
• Ideally, completed the PEIP for HCSW vaccinators course.
• Willing to undertake further training in vaccine administration as the programme expands.

Working Hours

Preferably full‑time 36 hours per week; part‑time (minimum 2 days) will be considered. Working days may span up to 6 days per week.
