Mechanical Fitter – Keynsham
Salary: £15.96 per hour or £30,707 annually + regular overtime at 1.5 × or 2 ×
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37‑hour week, flexible start and finish times
Benefits: 33 days holiday, pension, sick pay, parking

Role Overview
An opportunity to join an established, friendly and stable manufacturing company in Keynsham as a mechanical fitter in a mechanical assembly and build environment, reporting to the mechanical team leader.
Responsibilities
- Build and install mechanical sub‑assemblies in accordance with supplied engineering drawings and specification sheets
- Complete work in a timely manner and meet machine build timelines
- Perform bench fitting work
- Set up and align machine frames and tooling
- Set up machines to specified tolerances and capability
- Conduct functional testing and fault finding
- Use conventional hand and machine tools; basic machining skills are useful
- Support customer visits to commission, test and set up machines
Qualifications
- Mechanical fitting or assembly background, preferably with knowledge of the packaging industry
- Attention to detail and basic computer literacy
- Ability to read engineering drawings and follow specification sheets
- Mechanical apprenticeship or technical training to City & Guilds or NVQ qualification or equivalent; candidates with time‑served experience also of interest
