Position

Higher Level Teaching Assistant – 36.5 Hours per week – Term Time Only – 1 year Fixed Term (Monday – Friday)

Salary Range: £32,424 – £40,033 (Actual Salary Inc. SEN Allowance of £1507 FTE)

Start Date: 1 September 2026 – End Date: 31 August 2027

About the School

Victoria School is an all-through provision for pupils aged from 2 to 19 years, all of our pupils have special educational needs and a variety of learning difficulties, sensory impairments and complex medical needs.

Role Overview

We are looking to appoint a full-time Higher‑Level Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and highly motivated staff team.

Requirements

  • The ability to work using own initiative, and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills with students, parent/carers and colleagues.
  • The ability to plan, deliver & assess engaging sessions for pupils following the bespoke Victoria curriculum.
  • A GCSE grade 4 or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • An appropriate NVQ level 3 (or higher‑level qualification) or equivalent, and appropriate experience.
  • Must have HLTA Status.
