We are seeking a Locum Social Worker to join the Birth to Settled Adulthood Service Team in North Dorset. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload across Early Help, Child in Need, Child Protection, and Children in Care.

  • Collaborate with Preparation for Adulthood colleagues to support young people and families in planning for adulthood.

  • Work alongside paediatric occupational therapists, Best Start in Life Advisers, and family workers in a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships across agencies and disciplines.

  • Work autonomously while managing a caseload and travel across rural North Dorset using your own transport.

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.

  • Experience in children’s services is essential; experience in disability services is preferred.

  • Strong partnership working and the ability to manage a varied caseload independently.

  • Own transport is essential for travel across the rural area.
