Is this Maintenance Technician role right for me?

At Richmond Hill, every repair and maintenance task contributes to the overall guest experience. You’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming, smooth‑running environment where guests feel cared for and valued.

In this hands‑on role, you’ll work within a small, close‑knit team to ensure our hotel runs smoothly and our guests have a seamless experience. Your duties will include general maintenance, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks, and working closely with housekeeping and front office teams to coordinate maintenance in guest bedrooms and public areas. You’ll respond promptly to any requests, ensuring guest needs are addressed efficiently and with care.

No two days are the same! From changing a light bulb to fixing a leak, testing emergency lights, or carrying out fire safety checks, you’ll handle a wide variety of tasks. Your work will directly contribute to our guests’ comfort and satisfaction, helping create memorable experiences that keep them coming back.

What we’re looking for:

  • Ideally previous hotel maintenance experience as a Maintenance Assistant or Engineer
  • A DIY enthusiast who can turn their hand to almost anything
  • Pride in your work, with attention to detail and a commitment to completing tasks properly
  • Flexibility with working hours, including occasional Saturdays, to ensure jobs are finished to the highest standard
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with guests and colleagues, ensuring any maintenance work is handled professionally with minimal disruption

All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK, as we are unable to offer sponsorship for this position.
