Job Description:

This role sits within Shiron’s contract management and performance team and is client facing from day one. You will work alongside senior colleagues and client stakeholders to identify, develop, and deliver cost improvement and commercial performance opportunities across complex public sector contracts.

You will be comfortable operating in environments where data is incomplete, ambiguous, or inconsistent. You will be able to draw meaningful insight from what is available and build a credible commercial narrative around it. This is a consulting role. Delivery focused, and requires a high degree of professional independence. Being able to identify opportunities and then progress all the way through to delivery is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse contracts, financial data, and performance information to identify cost improvement opportunities
  • Work effectively with incomplete or imperfect data sets, applying professional judgement to identify and prioritise opportunities
  • Develop clear, evidence based recommendations and present findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the development of commercial strategies and improvement plans underpinned by contract terms and market intelligence
  • Take identified opportunities through the full delivery lifecycle. From analysis to implementation and benefit realisation
  • Manage opportunities independently, setting priorities and driving momentum in a fast moving consulting environment
  • Able to work with and challenge stakeholders across contracts, finance and procurement. Navigate challenging stakeholder dynamics with confidence and professionalism
  • Contribute to the development of deliverables and reports to a consistently high standard

  • Experience working in a consulting environment
  • A track record of managing and delivering workstreams independently
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders at a range of levels, including senior leadership
  • Identification and delivery of commercial improvement opportunities
  • Experience working in the NHS or broader public sector
  • Commercial contract management or procurement experience

  • Strong analytical skills – able to interpret financial and contractual data and draw clear, reasoned conclusions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce high quality reports and presentations
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Persuasive and confident communicator. Able to influence at senior levels
  • Strong commercial acumen and awareness of value for money principles in public sector contexts
  • Familiarity with NHS contracting frameworks, procurement regulations or public sector finance
  • Proficient with data analysis and presentation tools (e.g. Excel and Powerpoint)
