About the role

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award‑winning team as a Care Assistant at Waterhouse Manor Care Home in Peterborough.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of personal care, ensuring dignity and independence for all residents.
- Assist with personal hygiene, feeding, mobility, and other support tasks as needed.
- Identify and monitor clinical risk areas (weight loss, pressure sores, falls, infections); report promptly.
- Act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting each individual’s dignity and individuality.
- Practice safe systems of work and maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Carry out reasonable instructions from team members and adapt to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.
About you
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Show initiative and respect towards residents and other people in the home.
- Be an efficient worker who can follow reasonable instructions.
- Adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
- Experience not required – induction and training provided.
Requirements
- DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
