A rapidly scaling, venture-backed AI business is looking to hire a Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in the next phase of growth. Operating at the cutting edge of artificial intelligence, the business has strong commercial traction and a highly capable finance function already in place.

This role reports directly into a commercially focused, number-one-in-finance and will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of finance, while managing and developing a small, high-performing team of two.

Candidate profile:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
• Experience within a high-growth tech, AI, or SaaS environment
• Strong grounding across financial accounting, reporting, and controls
• Comfortable managing and developing a small finance team
• Confident operating with autonomy in a scaling business
• Commercially aware and able to partner with senior stakeholders
• Enjoys broad, hands‑on responsibility rather than a narrow remit

Primary duties include:

• Owning the core finance function, covering financial accounting, reporting, and controls
• Managing and mentoring a team of two, ensuring high standards and continuous development
• Leading month‑end close and production of accurate, timely management information
• Maintaining balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliations and reviews
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and commercial decision‑making
• Working closely with the Head of Finance / CFO on strategic and commercial initiatives
• Ensuring strong financial controls and scalable processes are in place
• Preparing for and supporting audits and external advisor relationships
• Overseeing revenue recognition and cost control in a fast‑moving AI environment
• Supporting system improvements, automation, and process optimisation
• Acting as a key finance partner to non‑finance teams across the business
• Contributing to longer‑term planning around scale, governance, and future fundraising
