Solution Architect – Blue Yonder Category Management

United Kingdom (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)

Overview

We are partnering with a major retail organisation undergoing a large-scale category management transformation. This initiative is focused on enabling data-driven decision-making and optimising product assortment through the implementation of Blue Yonder Category Management solutions.

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable, high-impact solutions within this programme.

The Role

As a Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in translating complex business requirements into robust technical solutions. You will provide architectural leadership across the full implementation lifecycle, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology delivery.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, driving best practices and ensuring successful deployment of Blue Yonder Category Management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into scalable Blue Yonder Category Management solutions
  • Design secure, high-performing architectures aligned to enterprise standards
  • Provide technical leadership across SaaS implementations and project delivery teams
  • Lead solution design workshops and produce high-quality design documentation
  • Align business processes with architectural best practices and platform capabilities
  • Manage stakeholders across business and technical teams
  • Identify delivery risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement across implementation and deployment processes
  • Support Proof of Concept (PoC) activities for client-specific requirements
  • Ensure solutions deliver measurable business value and align with strategic objectives

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering multiple Blue Yonder (JDA) Category Management implementations
  • Strong expertise in environment setup, configuration and deployment (CKB environments)
  • Deep understanding of space planning, assortment planning and merchandising processes
  • Experience leading solution design workshops and producing functional and technical documentation
  • Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder configuration, security setup and process flows
  • Technical development experience in .NET (C# or VB), including custom extensions
  • Experience working with global delivery teams
  • Experience with Cognos reporting
  • Experience creating and delivering user training materials
