You’ll take ownership of a large-scale AP function, leading both onshore and offshore teams while tackling volume, performance, and stakeholder confidence head‑on.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Control & Volume Management
- Take control of a high‑volume invoice environment where demand has exceeded capacity
- Introduce effective resource and capacity planning to manage peaks and pressure points
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness across invoice processing and payment runs
Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving
- Analyse volume trends, bottlenecks, and process inefficiencies
- Get under the skin of issues—not just managing symptoms, but identifying true root causes
- Use data to drive decisions and prioritise improvements
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build trust with internal stakeholders
- Act as a credible, solutions‑focused partner to the wider business
- Improve communication, visibility, and service levels
- Drive a mindset shift from reactive processing to proactive operations
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and scalable solutions
- Lead change across both onshore and offshore teams
What We’re Looking For

Key Experience (Non‑Negotiables):
- Proven experience leading within a high‑volume Accounts Payable / transactional finance environment
- Strong background in capacity planning, volume analysis, and operational performance improvement
- Experience managing onshore/offshore team models (c.50/50 split)
- Track record of driving change, improving processes, and stabilising underperforming functions
- Naturally analytical—comfortable working with data to diagnose issues
- Proactive and resilient, with the ability to lead under pressure
- Strong communicator, able to rebuild stakeholder confidence
- Challenges the “we’ve always done it this way” mindset
