Cross Rental Services are recruiting for an experienced and ambitious Business Development Manager, you’ll will play a pivotal part in driving new business growth across the London region.
Reporting directly to the London Sales Director, this position offers the opportunity to lead proactive initiatives in identifying and securing high-value opportunities, contributing significantly to our company’s expansion goals.
This role is primarily dedicated to new business development, with a strong emphasis on originating fresh revenue streams rather than managing existing accounts. You will engage with key sectors including councils, M&E contractors, facilities management companies, and government departments, fostering relationships at various levels to deliver tailored solutions that position Cross Rental Services as a trusted long-term partner.
We are looking to speak to candidates with a proven background in B2B sales to bring unique insights and innovative perspectives help us achieve our strategic objectives.

What You’ll Do:
- Proactively research target markets and organisations, independently generating high-quality leads and executing clear, purposeful calls to action
- Identify, qualify and originate significant new business opportunities in line with the agreed growth strategy
- Use CRM systems and sales analytics to build and manage a robust pipeline and support data-driven decisions
- Develop and deliver structured business development plans with clearly defined, measurable (and stretch) targets
- Analyse prospective customer requirements and translate them into compelling, value-led commercial and service solutions
- Engage stakeholders at all levels – from operational teams to senior decision-makers – and manage opportunities from initial contact through to contract award and smooth handover
- Ensure every piece of new business meets margin expectations and contributes to overall profitability
