New Build Crane Engineer

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000

Monday to Friday days

Overtime paid at 1.5

About your New Build Crane Engineer role

• Installation of safety systems, calibration, and testing of crane specifications
• Preparation of cranes for sale, including decal application, testing, and paint touch-ups
• Conducting PDI inspections and testing for both incoming and outgoing machinery
• Refurbishment and repair of older machines
• Fault finding and diagnosis of equipment defects
• Supporting field-based engineers with diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assisting the dealer network with maintenance and testing of products
• Maintaining records for engineering, health & safety, and customer service
• Performing other engineering and workshop duties as required

What you’ll need to succeed for this New Build Crane Engineer role

• Electrical Engineering experience (12/24v DC automotive / plant systems)
• Communication system experience (CAN bus – ideal but not essential)
• NVQ level 2/3 Engineering
• High attention to detail and ability to complete system installations to a high standard
• Ability to read and follow electrical and hydraulic diagrams
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Full UK driving licence
