Senior Business Manager – Recruiting Finance Roles in West London, Thames Valley, and Central London

A fantastic opportunity has arisen as a Commercial Finance Manager to join a technology company based in High Wycombe. This role offers excellent progression and hybrid working options.

This is a newly created position requiring someone to take ownership of making key commercial decisions regarding investments to enhance profitability for the group.

Responsibilities:

  1. Produce new analysis on company performance across various variables.
  2. Propose and implement improvements to existing analysis, making them robust and repeatable.
  3. Collaborate closely with Senior Management, including the CFO, providing financial insights to inform business performance and decisions.
  4. Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
  5. Demonstrate strong understanding of numbers and make commercial recommendations.
  6. Conduct comprehensive commercial, trend, and business analysis across customers, categories, and products.
  7. Translate complex data into clear and digestible information.
  8. Assist decision-making with insightful and accurate recommendations.
  9. Work with the Finance team to ensure accurate allocation of deductions and understand drivers of distribution.
  10. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior managers and their teams.
  11. Challenge stakeholders and make commercial decisions on pricing, Capex, costs, tenders, and trading terms by evaluating impacts, validating assumptions, and scenario planning.
  12. Oversee and lead continuous improvement projects.
  13. Drive improvements in forecasting and budget modeling, creating and implementing new models as needed.
  14. Coordinate and support regular reforecasts and annual budget exercises.
  15. Analyze financial data, including trend analysis and performance reporting, to provide insights and support strategic decisions.

Requirements:

  • Qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
  • At least 2 years of post-qualified experience, preferably within large technology companies or other industries
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling
