The Role
We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer who has embraced agentic and LLM driven approaches to software development. You will work closely with product, design, mobile, and machine learning team members to design & build experiences that re-define retail shopping. Alongside feature development, you will bring your expertise to enable the rest of the company to deliver faster and more effectively, whilst maintaining quality, using the latest agentic approaches and tools. You won’t settle for the status quo and accept that there won’t be best practices in agentic development any time soon, so the emphasis is on constant learning and iteration.
We are looking for people of any experience levels who are capable of taking the lead on delivering features end-to-end.
What You Will Own
Be an advocate, educator and driver behind AI tooling adoption across the company – be ambitious, be disruptive, aim high
Design and implement reactive, real-time web interfaces that help manage & redefine what is possible with in-store content personalisation
Contribute to distributed, event-driven backend services connecting our web experience with information from remote devices and external data sources.
Model and manage structured and semi-structured data across storage layers
Integrate AI-driven personalisation and real-time insights into user flows
Contribute to overall system design: service boundaries, data ownership, scaling, and observability
Essential Qualifications
Built modern full-stack applications (Python/Java/Go + ts/React)
Experience with real-time and bi-directional communication protocols and patterns (eg. WebSockets, SSE)
Built and deployed services on any major cloud providers’ services (Azure, GCP, AWS)
AI-Native development: Fast iteration & prototyping using AI tools such as Copilot, Claude or Cursor
Nice to Have
- Experience in backend development and event-driven architecture
- Our stack includes python, FastAPI, postgres, Kafka and MQTT
- Worked with IoT or Edge-oriented architectures
- Experience or knowledge in retail POS, inventory, or loyalty systems
