RF Test Engineer – Load Pull Systems Development Engineer (Contract)

Job Description

I am seeking a senior RF measurement/load-pull expert for a short-term engagement in Cambridge, UK.

Scope of the engagement (2–3 months):

• Setup and integrate a load-pull measurement system
• Work with existing focus tuners and software environment
• Define and execute calibration methodology
• Validate system performance and measurement accuracy
• Establish repeatable measurement workflows for power amplifier characterization

Required profile:

• Proven experience in building and validating load-pull systems, not just using them
• Strong background in RF power amplifier characterization
• Familiarity with tuner-based systems (e.g., Maury / Focus) and VNA/NVNA-based setups
• Hands-on approach with the ability to deliver a working and trusted measurement setup

Candidates should ideally be based in or near Cambridge or be able to be on-site regularly.
