Job Description:

My client is a well established nationwide business and due to continued growth they are now looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assist within accounts payable, from invoice entry to statement reconciliation.
  • Assist within accounts receivable, reconciliation of customer payments to system data investigating variances and report findings. 
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts in several currencies.
  • Verifying financial documentation in connection with expense reports.
  • Develop current reconciliation templates to streamline allocation process if required.
  • Support with year-end financial audit
  • Perform other administrative and accounting tasks as required.

Skills and experience

  • Previous Experience in high volume transactional entry and reconciliation
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and basic bookkeeping.
  • Excel skills
  • Sage experience
