The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Business Intelligence Manager.
This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to take on a newly created Business Intelligence Manager role at a time when ELLG is continuing to invest in data, digital transformation and business intelligence capabilities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the direction of the role, influence priorities and help define how business intelligence supports strategic decision‑making across the Group.
You will play a key role in transforming how data is used across the organisation, leading the development of dashboards, analytics, business intelligence solutions and systems integration initiatives that directly support curriculum planning, student success, funding optimisation and organisational performance.
This role offers the chance to work closely with senior leaders, acting as a trusted adviser on data, reporting and systems strategy while leading high‑profile projects that improve processes, enhance digital capabilities and deliver meaningful organisational change.

The successful candidate will be primarily based at Accrington and Rossendale College but may be required to travel across sites.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead and develop the Business Intelligence and Systems Integration team, delivering data‑driven insight, reporting and analytical solutions that support strategic decision‑making across the Group.
- Drive the development of dashboards, business intelligence tools and performance reporting to support curriculum planning, student outcomes, recruitment, funding optimisation and organisational performance.
- Lead key business analysis, process mapping and systems integration projects, improving efficiency, data quality and the effective use of digital technologies across ELLG.
- Champion strong data governance, compliance and information management practices, ensuring data is accurate, secure and supports both operational requirements and external audit expectations.
What We Are Looking For
- An experienced Business Intelligence, Data or MIS leader who can turn complex data into clear, actionable insight and support strategic decision‑making across the organisation.
- A strong people leader with a track record of developing high‑performing teams, building stakeholder relationships and successfully delivering change.
- A skilled analyst and business improvement professional with expertise in Power BI, reporting, systems integration, process mapping and data governance.
- An innovative and solutions‑focused individual who is passionate about data quality, digital transformation and using technology to improve organisational performance and user experience.
