Science Graduate Teaching Assistant – Secondary School – Brent – ASAP Start – Full-Time
Are you a Science graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a secondary school before pursuing a career in teaching?
Tradewind Recruitment is working with welcoming secondary schools in Brent seeking a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity to support students in science lessons while developing valuable classroom experience.
Role Overview
As a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering engaging science lessons while helping students stay focused and confident in their learning.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting students in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons
- Assisting the teacher with classroom activities and practical experiments
- Providing one-to-one or small group support to students who need extra help
- Helping prepare learning materials and lab equipment
- Encouraging student engagement and participation in lessons
- Supporting behaviour management within the classroom
- Following safeguarding procedures at all times
Requirements
- A degree in a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related)
- Interest in pursuing a career in education or teaching
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and supportive approach to working with students
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or xwzovoh willingness to apply
