Finance & Compliance PMO
Initial 6 month Contract
We need an experienced Finance PMO acts as the organisational lubricant and coordination hub for the accounting and finance function across our clients European entities.
With nine European subsidiaries operating under different local regulations, statutory requirements and audit frameworks, this role ensures that multiple finance related projects — particularly statutory audits and regulatory changes — are structured, executed and delivered in a controlled and timely manner.
The role combines strong project management capability with a solid understanding of audit fundamentals, enabling efficient coordination between internal teams and diverse third party service providers.
You will be responsible for:
Multi-country Statutory Audit Project Management
- Coordinate statutory audit projects across multiple European jurisdictions
- Develop and maintain comprehensive audit project plans covering: Timelines, Responsibilities and Key milestones and dependencies
- Track progress across all entities and proactively identify delays, conflicts or risks
- Ensure local audits are completed in alignment with group expectations and deadlines
Audit & Compliance Knowledge Support
- Possess a solid foundational understanding of: Statutory audit processes, Audit cycles, deliverables and documentation requirements
- Act as a knowledgeable counterpart to auditors, facilitating efficient communication rather than purely administrative coordination
- Ensure audit requests are properly scoped, tracked and followed up internally
- External Advisor & Third-party Coordination
- Manage relationships and interactions with multiple third parties, including: Local statutory auditors, Financial advisory firms and other professional service providers
- Coordinate inputs, manage expectations and ensure alignment across countries
- Reduce friction and inefficiency caused by fragmented communication
Cross-functional Project Delivery
- Lead finance related projects requiring collaboration across multiple departments
- Coordinate stakeholders from Finance, IT, Operations and other functions
- Ensure project objectives, responsibilities and deliverables are clearly defined and followed through
Regulatory Change & Initiative Tracking
- Support large scale regulatory or compliance initiatives impacting Finance operations
- For example, coordinate preparation for EU-wide E-invoicing implementation, including: Tracking regulatory requirements by country, Coordinating internal readiness activities and Following up on detailed tasks across teams
- Maintain visibility over complex, fragmented initiatives and ensure nothing falls through the gaps
This will be an initial 6 month contract role with a competitive rate of pay.
Ideally were looking for a candidate who is/has:
- Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams
- Solid understanding of audit processes and finance fundamentals
- Strong communication and coordination capability across internal and external stakeholders
- High attention to detail and follow-up discipline
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, multi-country environments
