Technical Project Manager (Identity & Directory Services)

6-Month Rolling FTC | London (3 Days Onsite)

Overview

We are supporting a leading international law firm undergoing a complex technology transformation and separation programme. We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead critical Identity & Directory Services workstreams, ensuring secure, compliant, and seamless operations across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of Identity & Directory Services workstreams within a wider transformation programme
  • Manage Active Directory and identity migrations, including user access, authentication, and security controls
  • Support data centre and cloud migration activities as they relate to identity systems
  • Coordinate across internal teams including Architecture, Security, Engineering, and Legal IT
  • Manage third-party vendors and suppliers supporting identity initiatives
  • Drive project governance: planning, RAID management, and reporting
  • Ensure minimal disruption to business operations and fee-earning teams during transitions
  • Maintain strict focus on data security, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance

Required Experience

  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or Programme Manager in enterprise environments
  • Strong track record delivering identity-focused projects
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Active Directory / Identity & Access Management
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or hybrid environments)
  • Data centre migrations or separations relevant to identity systems
  • Experience operating in highly secure or regulated environments (legal, financial services, healthcare)
  • Strong stakeholder management, with the ability to engage senior partners and business leadership

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to divestments, carve-outs, or business separations
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (access control, encryption, compliance standards)
  • Familiarity with ITIL and/or PRINCE2 methodologies
