The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to play a key role in delivering the company’s service-led growth strategy.
This is a strategic, new business-focused role centered on developing long-term client relationships and securing recurring service contracts across key sectors including Data Centers, Commercial Property, Healthcare (NHS & Private) and Retail environments.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Growth
• Identify and secure new customer relationships across target sectors
• Build, develop and maintain a strong pipeline aligned to growth strategy
• Win recurring maintenance contracts that create long-term client value
• Identify new market opportunities and service innovation potential
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
• Build relationships with FM providers, asset owners, estates teams and consultants
• Represent the organisation across industry events and client meetings
• Support the development of long-term strategic partnerships
Opportunity & Pipeline Management
• Generate genuine new business opportunities
• Maintain accurate pipeline tracking through CRM/CAFM systems (Atom)
• Provide regular reporting and forecasting
Cross-Selling & Collaboration
• Promote services across HVAC, combustion, pumps, smoke control, fire dampers and fire stopping
• Collaborate with technical and operational teams to develop solutions
• Ensure seamless handover to delivery teams
Commercial Management
• Prepare proposals and tenders aligned with pricing strategy
• Balance competitiveness with margin protection
• Contribute to long-term client lifecycle value
Candidate Profile
Experience
• Proven track record in business development within technical services
• Experience securing service or maintenance contracts
• Background working with FM providers or large estates organisations
Skills & Competencies
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation capability
• Ability to influence senior decision-makers
• Experience using CRM/CAFM systems
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
