Quality Assurance Engineer – Data Centres (Remote | UK | Contract)

We are currently supporting a leading organisation within the data centre and critical infrastructure sector as they look to appoint an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer on a contract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-value, mission-critical projects across hyperscale and enterprise data centre environments.
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring all engineering, installation, and commissioning activities meet the highest quality standards across live and new-build data centre environments.
Working remotely with occasional site engagement, you will play a key role in maintaining compliance, documentation accuracy, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee QA processes across IT systems within data centre projects
- Review and validate commissioning documentation, test packs, and handover files
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications
- Conduct audits, inspections, and quality checks across contractors and subcontractors
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and best practice implementation
- Liaise with project teams, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve quality issues
Requirements
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance within data centres or critical environments
- Experience reviewing commissioning and handover documentation
- Familiarity with industry standards and compliance frameworks
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
