Unify is proud to represent one of our favorite Consulting partners who require the services of an experienced Senior Software Developer, to join a project team delivering a Central Government program.

Essential Skills and Experience needed:

Software Development:

• Strong experience in TypeScript and/or JavaScript, particularly in backend or full-stack development.
• Experience building services using frameworks such as Hapi, Express or similar

Node.js frameworks.

Technical Architecture:

• Experience contributing to scalable and secure service architecture.
• Understanding of APIs, distributed systems and modern service patterns.

Cloud and Infrastructure:

• Experience working with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.

Integration and APIs:

• Experience building and consuming APIs.
• Experience supporting integration with external systems and platforms.

Data Handling:

• Experience working with structured data and data-driven services.
• Understanding of secure handling of sensitive data, including PII.

Testing and Quality:

• Experience supporting automated testing approaches.
• Understanding of performance and security considerations.

Agile Delivery:

• Experience working in agile multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work iteratively and respond to changing requirements.

DevOps Practices:

• Experience using GitHub (or similar) for version control and collaboration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments and service monitoring.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience working within UK Government / GDS service standards.
• Experience building forms-based or workflow-driven services.
• Experience working with planning, geospatial or local government systems.
• Experience integrating with data platforms or open data services.
• Experience supporting public beta services at scale.
