JobPurpose
Throughvisual inspection and monitoring to ensure that all dressedcarcasses are presented to the required standard to meet agreedcustomer specifications in accordance with current industrystandard and legislativerequirements.
KeyResponsibilities
QualityAssurance &Compliance
- Ensure thata range of routine tasks associated with the inspection of carcasesand monitoring activities eg product temperature/dentition/labelchecks are performed at the defined frequency in accordance withthe appropriate standard operatingprocedure.
- Maintain and uphold internal andexternal QA standards.
- Verify productionpaperwork and ensure document control on the factoryfloor.
- Conduct quality checks, labelverification, and temperaturemonitoring.
- Undertake the scanning of lambcarcase tickets onto the HCS system as a result of extensivetrimming being carried out whilst held on the detainline.
- Responsible for ensuring all tasks arecarried out within the allocated work area, are done so in a mannerto protect product safety, legality, authenticity and quality inaccordance with the Food Safety Quality Management Systems (FSQM)& Health & Safety procedures.
- Beambassador for and promote a food safety & quality culture bytheir visible presence on site demonstrating behaviours andreinforcing our commitment to the highest standards at alltimes.
- Liaise when required, with internaldepartments and external bodies such as the Foods Standards Agency(FSA), Official Veterinary (OV) to ensure sitecompliance.
Skills& Knowledge
- Strongunderstanding of Quality Systems procedures anddocumentation.
- Self-motivated with effectivetime management skills.
