About the Role
In this role as draughtsman, you will carry out detailed design work ranging from small to large scale projects and provide technical support to the delivery team to meet activity deadlines. You will be integrated into a multidiscipline engineering team to produce designs that meet the clients needs and quality standards, on time and within budget. This role will involve travel to sites across the UK to undertake site surveys, and gain practical exposure to the task in hand, and later convert this to preparing and checking 2D and 3D technical designs and drawings.
Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed design work for small to large scale projects.
- Provide technical support to the delivery team to meet activity deadlines.
- Produce designs that meet client needs and quality standards.
- Travel to sites across the UK to undertake site surveys.
- Prepare and check 2D and 3D technical designs and drawings.
Qualifications
- Educated to HNC Level or above.
Required Skills
- Proficient in using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD & Plant 3D, (and Inventor).
- Experience in industrial design including 3D modelling of buildings, pipework and supports, equipment, and bespoke industrial structures/units etc.
- Experience producing 2D detailed design drawings ready for construction.
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously when required.
- Any knowledge of BIM would be beneficial and confidence in following common data environment procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office suite.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Be available for 2 days in the office.
- Valid Passport
Preferred Skills
- Any knowledge of AutoDesk would be beneficial.
- Confidence in following common data environment procedures.
Pay range and compensation package
Salary: £50,000 (depending on experience)
